Painted White (formerly Faded Rose Cottage) is an online shop run by Alice Wingerden with the help of her adoring husband, Joshua. We love all things old, worn, chippy, romantic, French and, of course, white! We love to inspire others through our artwork, designs and offerings and welcome your questions, comments and feedback anytime. 

 

Joshua and I currently reside in the suburbs outside of Rochester, NY. We make our home in a two-bedroom townhouse with Renoir, our 2 year-old Cairn Terrier. He is the joy of our life...even at his worst!

 

In our free time we enjoy decorating our home, playing with Renoir, visiting fascinating places with lots of history...esp. right here in Rochester, improving our photography, watching The Office and drinking lots of coffee! Joshua and I are both of the Christian faith and strive to live positive lives serving others and spreading God's love throughout this earth, not with loud, boastful words, but by our actions and deeds.

I am thankful to God each day for the ability to live my dream. I dedicate my work and business to my grandmother, Kay DeWind, who was an artist in her day and still serves to inspire me through her faith in God and love for her family. I only hope that I can be as talented as she one day.
